Budapest recall

Hi lovely people,

Today was the cinema group catchup.

During Budapest Hotel movie trailer, my Singaporean friend said: not been there yet. I've asked: you mean Budapest? My friend responded: yes... at that moment I have recalled my thoughts on my last experience in Budapest.

Getting home after cinema, I've scrolled the photos and realised that my last visit to Budapest was in May 2011. Gosh, time flies.
During that visit I've met up with my good friend "the writer". Today he and his family do not live there anymore, but that time we managed to catch up and make a blast.

Hence, when my Singaporean friend asked me about Budapest experience, I've said that it depends how much you know about Europe's background. I didn't say that I didn't feel Budapest as my preferred place...instead I've shared the photos and the Budapest's story...it was about Austrian princess marrying Hungarian prince and asking him to change the face of Budapest so that it looks like Vienna...the home she missed so much.

That romantic moment gave Budapest this look  :)

Inspiring morning hours at Singapore

:))
Sunrises, particularly on weekends, inspire. I like my habit to experience sunrises wherever I'm..early morning gives me the sense of the place: night greeting the day...newspaper dispatchers...smell of bakeries..chanting in local temples..morning bells..cities awaking :))

These are the Singapore early mornings..stillness in itself :) enjoy it :))

Labrador Park - lunch time walk in Singapore

Hi dear followers :)
Today I share with you the walk at Labrador area which is close to my office building complex. I find it as a blessing having the opportunity to spend an hour of lunch time outdoor enjoying the nature :)

Hope you will enjoy this virtual walk trough mangroves :)

This is Maple-tree Business Centre where my office building is located.

The first view when entering the Labrador mangrove following the Boardwalk

Keppel Marina and view to Reflections buildings. This is one of the views after passing Labrador mangrove Boardwalk and walking by Caribbean condominium facing the marina.

This is how it looks like on the map. It is 7km long walk.

It was an enjoyable noon hour. I recharged my batteries and brought the smile to my office.

Take care and greets from Singapore :)

AsianCaucasian :)

Hi lovely people:))
Going around Singapore and being asked from where I'm, I've started to say: Singapore :)

Some of my friends already know about this tell :):), BUT I've just used it and it worked so I've decided to share it with you :)

Few weeks ago my foot massage therapist asked: where are you from miss? I've answered: Singapore :) She said: oh I see I see, you're Asian Caucasian :)

When I heard that at first I've thought: well done Eva, you're finally assimilated.

Afterwards, I've realized that she gave me the best answer for that kind of question :))

Lazy Sunday Scroll :)

Hi to all you dear people :)

One of the Sundays I've spent scrolling the Marina Bay taking photos with my iPhone and decided to share the experience.

Marina Bay Sands is in my neighbourhood and most of my free time I spend scrolling around it. I have to admit that, after I have seen the National Geographic show about the construction of the site, I did understand the reason why I enjoy moving around that area so much.  Whoever is interested to see the show, follow this link http://youtu.be/1Hd8VI2UHLg

First are sthe Shops at Marina Bay Sands :) to all the shoppers..all brands are here:))

Wedding/Solemnization Witness

Today I was invited to Solemnisation of the partnership i.e. signing the paper which considers you married under the Singaporean laws, therefore in simple words, I was attending a wedding ceremony :)

This one is not the first one I was present, hence I have noticed a pattern and applied the lesson learned.

Some years ago, at the beginning of my first stay in Singapore, I was attending Malay wedding. A lot was new to me that time...customs, food...environment. During the ceremony I noticed a big wedding cake sitting behind the couple. Spotting it I got the sweet tooth :) and decided to stay until the cake slice reaches my plate. But, hours were passing and my patience was vanishing, so after al long waiting I asked other guests...when we shall have a cake? They answered: what cake? I said: that one, behind the couple? They said: oh, that one...no cake my dear...that's the plastic one for decoration only.
Me: |%#{}]+£<€#>%£|!~~<

Therefore, today, when we were taking photos in front of the wedding cake...I knew that I will leave early to have a treat in "High Society" bakery :))
